As I mentioned previously in my article for Defence Journal by the name of “Pakistan’s Defence and nuclear doctrine” published in March 2005 that any future imposed wars on Pakistan must not allowed to be fought on Pakistani mainland. I have come through many questions from readers and defence experts about the prime motive behind this theory. As a defence analyst and a proud Pakistani, I want to see Pakistan as a powerful Islamic state that could raise the flag on behalf of one fourth Muslim population of the entire world. The Decisive Battle of KANWAHA - BABAR versus RANA SANGA

Introduction

The battle of KANWAHA is considered a decisive battle which established BABAR as the Emperor of HINDUSTAN. It was fought between RANA SANGA of MEWAR, the most powerful RAJPUT ruler of HINDUSTAN and ZAHEERUD-DIN MOHAMMAD BABAR on 16th March 1527 AD at KANWAHA situated west of AGRA. RANA SANGA had the support of a dozen RAJAS, many RAJPUT chiefs and some Muslim rulers of neighbouring states.

RANA SANGA was a brave warrior and a veteran of many successful battles. In the battle of KANWAHA, RANA SANGA’s army was about 5 times stronger. But BABAR was also a veteran of numerous battles and proved a better general in strategy and tactics, and above all, his outstanding leadership qualities won him a resounding victory which, once and for all removed the menace of RAJPUT supremacy.....more
