HIGHLY TRAINED AND VERSATILE

The Infantry is the most senior arm and is the backbone of the Army! Its' mission is to close with and defeat the enemy or to repel his assaults by close combat. The Artillery, Armour, Combat Engineers, Signals and Logistics work collectively as a Combined Arms Team to support the Infantry in the accomplishment of its mission.

FIT, DEPENDABLE & COURAGEOUS

Extremely fit, he can move long distances on foot across various types of terrain. He is always dependable, extremely resourceful and courageous.

THE ARM OF DECISION IN BATTLE

Once the Combat Engineers have breached the enemy defences and the Artillery fire has been lifted, it is the Infantrymen who decide the final outcome by close combat with the enemy. Responding immediately to his commander's order to 'FOLLOW ME!', he suppresses his own natural fears and leaves the security of his cover to commence the assault. This is a testament to his loyalty, courage, and commitment to mission.

THROUGH THE AGES AND INTO THE FUTURE

He has spearheaded countless battles spanning many centuries. The Infantry is able to persevere because he is versatile in approach and employment in battle. Advances in technology will give the Infantryman better protection, lethality and mobility allowing him to always play the pivotal role in any armed conflict of the future.
